I CARE ABOUT YOUR ISSUES
- Jobs - Doc will work aggressively to attract and retain new businesses into the 39th RD - and Seaford in particular - in order to create new jobs and build a stable tax base.
- Crime - Doc's unique perspective on crime and criminal justice comes from his experience as a decorated police officer as well as his dedicated work in the district court system and in the community. He will fight for enhanced funding for law enforcement to both modernize our police departments and to hire more officers. Doc will also work with law enforcement and the community to provide outreach programs to help keep our youth on the right track.
- Smart Growth - A strong proponent of farmland and open space preservation, Doc knows this can only be accomplished through smart, planned growth that is compatible with surrounding communities. Increasing our economic base by attracting new businesses into our urban centers will take the pressure off farmers who may otherwise feel compelled to sell out to developers. In addition, Doc will fight to ensure that the state pays its fair share to maintain roads and infrastructure to alleviate traffic, noise and pollution.
- Manufactured Housing - Doc is the only candidate who will fight to minimize the squeeze placed on families living in manufactured homes. At the state level, Doc will fight for good, solid and fair legislation that will (1) give residents the right of first refusal in the event that their land is put up for sale, and (2) place a fair and reasonable cap on annual rent increases.
- Library - Many other communities in Delaware boast state-of-the-art libraries, so why not Seaford? As a college teacher Doc believes that a library is an integral part of the fabric of a community, providing many valuable services as well as a place where children and families can go for educational enrichment. He will work to secure state and local funding in order to make this dream a reality in Seaford.
